OUR TEAM

Our team of Eye Specialists, ophthalmic nurses, optometrists, and administration staff at City Eye Centre are committed to bringing you the best standard of ophthalmic care your eyes deserve. Our Ophthalmologists are highly experienced and leading specialists in their field. In addition to excellence in patient care, our eye doctors are committed to advancing ophthalmic research through involvement in clinical trials, publications, and presentations at national and international meetings as well as providing education to other health professionals. Our eye specialists have affiliations with the University of Queensland and hold senior public hospital appointments at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Mater Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The patient-focussed approach at City Eye Centre is complemented by our innovative, state-of-the-art ophthalmic technology to provide you with the most up-to-date diagnosis and treatment. This technology includes high-resolution and ultra-widefield optical coherence tomography (OCT) scanning, OCT angiography, ultrawide-field fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, ultrasonography, corneal topography, endothelial mapping and anterior segment imaging.

In particular, City Eye Centre is part of the global Advanced Retinal Imaging (ARI) network and our OCT Plex Elite provides ultra-high resolution cross-sectional images through the retina to assist in the diagnosis of a wide range of retinal diseases. The OCT is also used to monitor treatment efficacy of intravitreal injections such as Eylea, Lucentis or Avastin for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. Ultra-widefield fundus photography and fluorescein angiography allow 200º of the retina to be imaged, and this enables the doctors to diagnose, document and monitor the peripheral retinal conditions in an unprecedented way.
